My Special Belonging

If my family had to suddenly leave home because of great danger, may it be zombies, war, bombs, or anything; I would want to bring my laptop. That would be the most important thing in my house. I do not have any expensive valuable goods like that like jewellery or treasure. My top three choices would be my laptop, my PSP, or Wii. They are all electronic devices that I would bring. However if I left home and I went to a place without electricity, it would probably be a book or something. Things I would miss at home would be my refrigerator. There are a lot of foods in there and it is all going to be wasted or stolen. I would also miss my television because I watch T.V quite often and without one, I would be pretty upset. There aren't many things I would miss a lot, maybe more generally my home.

Theme to Your Favorite Song "Super Mario RPG Rawest Forest"

Goomba: Hey, have you heard about that Mario guy?
Koopa: Him? You mean?
Goomba: Yea, the one with the mushrooms
Koopa: Yea!
Goomba: You know, the one jumping around in the forest
Koopa: Yea, yea, I know him, I know him
Goomba: Yes? Okay, hey check it out!

Super Mario RPG
The game is the only one just for me
When I play the game, I get lost in a phase
Then I find out I'm stuck in Geno's Maze

Mario: Gimme Frog Coins!
Bowser: Gimme Mario!
Mario: Gimme Frog Coins!
Bowser: Gimme Mallow!
Mario: Gimme See Ya!
Bowser: Gimme Geno!
Mario: Gimme Cookies!

Magikoopa: Of course, we will get you that Mario

Bowser: We need to mute that stupid voice
Mario: I need to get those damn frog coins

There are many secrets in this game!
Many of which drive some peeps insane!
Why we try to cheat in a really good game?
Just sounds like crap and it makes you look lame!

Exiting the forest is super simple:
All you do is follow these path turns
For the rest of your gaming life

Speaker: Gimme Star Egg, gimme Cookies, gimme See Ya,
gimme Great Guy's Casino, gimme everything i need!

Mario: Wait, wait, wait, who are you?

Exor: Hahahahaha.

Exor's Verse:
My name is Exor, I'm the rappers angel
Travelling Blade with the Axem Rangers
Why should lamers like Mario with his Party of
A bunch of retarded Joes
Fix a Star Road, I don't think so
(Geno: Geno Whirl!) I don't blink slow (Geno: Let's do this!)
Cause every time I drive and rhyme a rhyme I damage my right eye more than nine times ninety nine

Mario's Verse:
Lately's been a boredom and lack of interest
Little cats call us fags and incestous
Italian guy, gotta buy some time to blast right past
Rescue the captive princesses
Koopas and Gombas, them I just laugh at
I'ma hit "A" to raise the level of attacks
Don't fight the poverty, but hey! Kids that are lonely can
drop it and play my game to get their bodies to act glad

Dialogue 1:
Mallow: Gimme
Croco: My name is Croco
Mallow: Gimme, gimme
Croco: Wallet
Mallow: Gimme
Croco: Wallet
Mallow: Gimme, gimme
Croco: In the end of the game
Mallow: Gimme
Croco: Items
Mallow: Gimme, gimme
Croco: Something rare

Dialogue 2:
Great Guy: Oh, hello!
Mario: Oh, it's a little creepy up here
Great Guy: Yea, it is
Mario: I'm a little low on hit points
Great Guy: Okay?
Mario: You have any refreshments?
Great Guy: Yea, you can take this mushroom
Mario: BUT IT'S ROTTEN!!

Princess Toadstools Verse:
I am just a princess, please help me!
Booster is scary.
I've heard rumours he's taking me to Marrymore
but I don't wanna marry more I wanna marry Mario

Mario: Gimme Frog Coins!
Bowser: Gimme Mario!
Mario: Gimme Frog Coins!
Bowser: Gimme Mallow!
Mario: Gimme SeeYa!
Bowser: Gimme Geno!

Princess Toadstool: Gimme my frying pan and parasol

There are many secrets in this game!
Many of which drive some peeps insane!
Why we try to cheat in a really good game?
Just sounds like crap and it makes you look lame!

Exiting the forest is super simple:
All you do is follow these path turns
For the rest of your gaming life.

This is one of my favourite songs. It is quite weird that I choose a song about a video game. However, it is one of the few songs that I understand what the song is about. Other rap songs, I have absoultly no idea what it is talking about. This song is based on a very old video game called Super Mario Rpg the Legend of the Seven Stars. The theme of this song is about finding a way out of trouble and being patient. It is about this part in the game where Mario and his party members have to go through a forest which is super confusing because if you go through the wrong paths, you just end up repeating. The song talks about how many players get stuck into a phase which is the maze. I myself, in my child hood have been lost in it and I asked my brother to help me. The song talks about how you have to follow the corret turns and the main enemy of the game, Exor. Mario talks about basic concepts like hitting "A" on time to raise attacks, rescuing the princess, and finding frog coins.
This is one of my favourite songs and has a nice theme to it.

Irish Rebel Song "Come out and Fight " thoughts

This is an Irish Rebel Song "Come out and fight". It is about some Irish people who really hate the British. This man was born on a street in Dublin where the Royal British Army comes to do bad things. He sings about how they are cowards and sings about his friends making fun of the British. The main character also talks about this story about these Irish people who were fighting and then got executed. This song is pretty short because it just repeats itself, but it is quite interesting and catchy. I really like Irish music because they all sound energetic and happy. It also makes me want to do the Irish dancing which looks really cool to do.
These are the lyrics to the song

I was born on a Dublin street where the Royal drums do beat
And the loving English feet they tramped all over us,
And every night when me father'd come home tight
He'd invite the neighbors outside with this chorus:

Oh, come out you black and tans,
Come out and fight me like a man
Show your wives how you won medals down in Flanders
Tell them how the IRA made you run like hell away,
From the green and lovely lanes in Killashandra.

Come let me hear you tell
How you slammed the great Pernell,
When you fought them well and truly persecuted,
Where are the smears and jeers
That you bravely let us hear
When our heroes of sixteen were executed.

Oh, come out you black and tans...

Allen, Larkin, and O'Brien--
How you bravely called them swine!
Robert Emmett who you hung and drew and quartered!
High upon that scaffold high,
How you murdered Henry Joy!
And our Croppy Boys from Wexford you did slaughter!

Oh, come out you black and tans...

The day is coming fast
And the time is here at last,
When each yeoman will be cast aside before us,
And if there be a need
Sure my kids wil sing, "Godspeed!"
With a verse or two of Steven Beehan's chorus.

Duty or Friendship

Which is worse:betraying one's duty or betraying one's friend? Imagine a situation in which you were forced to make such a choice. What issues would you weigh as you tried to make a decision? Free write for a few minutes about this dilemma.

I think betraying a country is worse than betarying one's friend. A country is a place you were born in, and you have to serve it. A friend is a friend, he might even betray or backstab you. A situation would be like, if your friend is going to blow up a building with government officials in it because he suspects that one of them is a terrorist that is going to blow up the whole country. You, (His Friend), has to choose between helping him plant the bomb or killing him. Maybe if you trust your friend, you could have killed the terrorist, but also many innocent people. But it is not 100% sure that someone is a terrorist. Or you could save your country's officials and kill him or put him into jail. Issues would be that if you kill the officials, you might be considered a terrorist yourself and traitors to your country. If you kill your friend, you lose friendship, trust, and you become guilty. This is my imagination of a situation that would happen.

Under Pressure

What qualities enable people to perform well when facing heart-pounding fear or stress? Think about your own experiences or those of someone you know, as well as news stories or fiction you've read. Then jot down your thoughts about people taking action when the stakes are high.

Qualities such as bravery and will are important for people to perform well when facing heart-pounding fear or stress. People need to be brave just to push out their inner spirit to fight agains stress. People also need the will to fight. Just like soldiers in World War 2, they needed the will to fight against the Nazis and enemies. Even in pain suffering in the trenches with poor food conditions and weather, they pushed themselves to fight and hold the line. Fighting while being tired, scared, hungry, cold is all really painful, but soldiers pushed themselves. I had a experience like that once. During badmintain, it was 12-20. I pushed myself beyond my typical limit. Jumping, smashing, dive hitting, etc all were not typiclly done all the time. However, I wanted to win and I had the will to fight on. People take action when the stakes are high during sport games, war, video games, etc. In sports wether or not to shoot the score or pass, in war, commanding and making your thoughts on where to go, video games to plan ahead to win, and many other ideas. In conclusion, everyone can push themselves to do the best.

Vengeance

What experiences could lead a person to seek revenge? How could an obsession with vengeance lead to tragedy? Jot down your responses and include examples from stories or movies.

Something that would lead a person to seek revenge would probably be like murder, war, and several other things. For example, Genhis Khan's village was attacked by other Mongolians and his wife was kidnapped. He prepared himself and his troops for a revenge and burned the whole rival village down and captured and killed everyone. He tortued them and made them slaves. Misa, a person from this cartoon had a notebook called the DeathNote. When you jot down someone's name on the Deathnote or look at someone's face for once then jot down an image, you can instantly kill that person with a heart attack. She did it in revenge because of a murderer killed her parents and she wrote down his name. Obsessions with vengeance can eventually lead to tragedy because you either regret it, or other people who were friends to that person would want revenge on you too. It is quite sad because many people want vegence, and when it happens, they get nothing out of it. Just like this episode in the Simpsons in TreeHouse Horror. Homer (protraying as this French noble), killed this person who put him in jail because of false charges and stole Homer's wife. Homer's wife actually hated him for doing that and left Homer, which is pretty sad. Vengeance is not good.

The Grass is Always Greener on the Other Side

All of us, at one time or another, have felt that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence- in other words, that someone else's life is better than our own. We believe that having what someone else has will make us happy- until we experience the unexpected negative results of envy. Have you ever seen or felt its negative effects?

I have envied people before many times. Seeing people with material goods that I have always wanted. Could be books, games, food, magazines, computer games, computer parts, basically almost anything. For example, I envied that my friend had a Xbox 360 because it was one of the most popular gaming consoles and I did not have one however. Though, I have never had the unexpected negative results of envy nor felt them before. I have envied about many things before but none of the results have happened. Though I wanted the items, I usually forget about it. Like some things that I envy were once very popular at that time, few months later, it might be considered boring and I would easily lose interest. So my envys come and go, envying one thing, then forgeting about it few months later. It is typical me and I would never go crazy or do something drastic to get something that I wanted.

Helen on Eighty-sixth Street Make the connection

I have many dreams and hopes for the future. I have several that might happen and others that probably will not happen. I dream to be married to a very nice wife. I might have a chance, I am a kind and caring person. So it may be possible for me and I really hope it will happen. I have others to become a good chef. Designing dishes and creating dishes for people. It might be possible, I might go to cullinary school and learn cooking skills. I have other dreams like going to Harvard, but that is probably not very possible. It is a too demanding school and is probably too hard for me. Everyone has wishes, I have some that have not happened yet but I really wish for them to happen to the future. I want them to happen so I will be able to follow my dream. These dreams tell my that I want to become a likeable person who can cook for others.

On Your Own - Make the Connection

I think pressure comes from personal and outside forces and desires. People look at you differently with weird clothes and personally you feel weird. Personally you would feel like that you needed to change clothes. Some people who are more socially awkward may want to wear and act the same way as other people. Some people however like to be different from others. Wear strange clothes and do their own way. However, sometimes it is part of a religion or a belief that certain people wear different things. I do not think people being the same will make people happy, they would rather act on their own. I would want to be my own self. I do not like being the same as everyone, then everybody would be like boring robots. Nobody is then unique, everyone is the same. Showing yourself is a big thing in the world.

Make the Connection

Yes people do indeed have an inner power which makes them do heroic deeds. Everyone has their own spirit to push. For example, Ryu in Street Fighter used his inner ki (energy) to throw a Hadouken (ki-based attack) to do a heroic deed. People push themselves beyond limit sometimes which makes them filled with energy. Maybe the spirit withen someone or energy makes some people very strong in spirit. Most of the time it is for the right thing or for revenge either way. Some go wrong because they get to caught up with it. I sometimes have inner power when im playing badmintain. Sometimes I go beyhond my typical energy and play with full spirit and win. Pushing with all my might and energy to win with my spirit.

A Christmas Memory, Make the Connection

Friends give each other company and friendship. They stick to each other and take care of each other's back. Supporting each other in the times of need and cheering them on. I have had an old friendship before, actually many of them. Four years ago, I was good friends with almost everyone in the class. We covered each other's backs and were a team effort in games and other activities. We encouraged each other in tests and assignments and helped each other out in them. Some friendship's last because of trust while some friendships fail due to some disagreements on other problems. I have never had any bad friendships because I am a good person to be friends with. Some ideas on friendship are sticking together, knowing each other’s likes and many other things can relate to relationships. Well, this is the end of my blog about relationships and friends.

Constructed Response "The Most Dangerous Game"

In “The Most Dangerous Game”, Rainsford was heading out to the Amazon to hunt animals. He fell off his boat after leaning from the railing because he heard gunshots. He ended up on Ship-Trap Island and found General Zaroff. They were both hunting fanatics and liked each other. However, Zaroff said he liked hunting men and Rainsford was scared. Zaroff made Rainsford play the game. The game involved someone surviving for three days, if he or she had won, they can escape. The game starts off with Zaroff looking for Rainsford. Rainsford made a Malay man-catcher and injured Zaroff. Zaroff left for the day and came back with a dog. Rainsford had prepared a Burmese tiger pit which killed the dog and Zaroff left again. The next day, Ivan, Zaroff, and a pack of dogs went hunting for Rainsford. Ivan was killed by Rainsford’s knife trap. Rainsford jumped into the ocean and swam away. Zaroff went back home and was about to go to sleep except Rainsford was in his room. They had a fight to the death and in conclusion, Rainsford slept in the bed which meant he won.

Make the Connection #1

Some of the most exciting narratives pit villain against hero in a life-or-death struggle. The tension in such stories often depends as much on the character of the bad guy or gal as on that of the hero. Write a few sentences describing a villain from a novel, story, or movie. Why does the character fascinate you?

M. Bison is a fictional character from Street Fighter. He has appeared in movies, video games, and comics. He wears a military uniform and cap. His plan is to rule the world and to control all the other Street Fighters. By brainwashing them or killing them, his plan is to get rid of good so he can take over. He has a mysterious power called Physco Power. It is a purple energy glow around him which makes him very powerful. He can withstand heavy punches and even teleport. This character fascinates me because, how often do you see a bad guy with super-human powers and can teleport. Other characters from the Street Fighter series fascinate me as well. With Ki based energy balls and other abilities, the Street Fighter series is very interesting.
